The Newly Elected Hungarian Parliament Holds Its First Session


Budapest, May 3 | The Newly Elected Hungarian Parliament Held Its First Session Here And Elected Its Most Important Officials. Laszlo Kover, A Founding Member Of The Ruling Fidesz Party, Has Been Re-elected As President, The Xinhua News Agency Reports. 

He Was First Elected To The Post In 2010 And Re-elected In 2014 And 2018. Parliament Also Elected Six Vice-presidents. President Janos Ader Has Inaugurated The New Parliament For The Third And Final Time As His Mandate Expires In A Few Days And He Will Be Replaced By Katalin Novak, The Country’s First Female President In.

Ader Urged The Newly Elected Mps To Re-elect Viktor Orban To The Post Of Prime Minister, A Post He Will Hold For The Fifth Time, A Record In Hungarian Politics. Orban Has Been In  Office Continuously Since 2010, But  Also Held The Same Position From 1998 To 2002. On April 29, Ader Orban Officially Called For The Formation Of The New Government After The  April 3 Parliamentary Elections. Orban, Who Won The Election By A Wide Margin And Secured 135 Seats Out Of 199, Seats In Parliament, Approved The Motion.
