India – The Country Will Soon Have A New Chief Of Defense Staff (Cds). According To Sources, The Final Stamp Can Be Taken Next Week. We Inform You That According To The Information Received From The Sources, The Government Has Considered  Retired And Serving Officers For The Appointment Of The New Chief Of Defense Staff (Cds). The Post Was Vacant After The Country’s First Cds, Gen. Bipin Rawat, Died In A Plane Crash On December 8 Last Year.

The Sources Also Said That The Government May Also Announce The Name Of The Next Army Chief In The Coming Week As A Decision On The Matter Has Been Made. The Naming Body For The  Cds Position May Include Three- And Four-star Officers.

The Cds Was Appointed By The Narendra Modi Government Within Six Months Of Its Return To Power In 2019 In What Has Been Hailed As The Largest Reform Of The Country’s Top Military Infrastructure. The Office Is  To Become The Most Powerful Military Office In The Country With The Cds. And The Theater Command To Be Created Underneath, To Which All Combat Units  Report Directly.

The Cds Has Been Appointed Secretary Of The  Department Of Military Affairs And Currently Operates At The Rank Of Additional Secretary, Lieutenant General. The Cds Is Also The Chief Of The Integrated Defense Staff,  Currently Headed By An Iaf Three-star Officer. Responsible For Self-sufficiency In The Defense Sector And Is Also The Senior Bureaucrat In The Department Of Defense  With Four Main Departments.
